As you stroll around, and depending on the season, you’ll be able to contemplate the goganes, emblematic but very fragile flowers of our region. You’ll find them near the pond dug by our grandfather in the 1970s, and lined with vegetation. This wetland is home to a large number of animal species (insects, birds, etc.). Look up and you might catch a glimpse of the heron that calls the Bergerie home, or the flight of bats as night falls. What would the Bergerie be without its sheep? Béranger’s sheep (a travelling shepherd) graze our vines in winter. They have become irreplaceable members of our team. Every year we entrust them with the first spring mowing of our plots! Finally, nesting boxes have been installed in various locations, so come and see if they’ve found a tenant…
