Logbook :
April - August 2025
Each season has its own importance! Follow the vine cycle with us ...
For us, the start of the season means the start of a countdown!
We started disbudding at the end of April. By hand, one after the other, each vine is inspected by our teams. Superfluous buds are removed, leaving only the most fruit-bearing ones. The aim is also to anticipate next year’s pruning.
In other words, nothing is left to chance!
At the same time, we continue to work the soil with tractors and pickaxes. We need to strike a balance between keeping the soil alive and controlling competition between wild grasses and vines. Finally, we remain cautious and continue to protect our plots against powdery mildew and downy mildew.
Importantly, this year the weather seems to be on our side. We’re working with the sun! However, its presence and the occasional warm spell are giving the vines wings, and they’re growing fast! So, when’s the first flower?
The vines also need to be trellised to protect the larger shoots from breaking. Then it’s time to take a break and let nature do its work, before opening a new chapter: the harvest!
We look forward to telling you more about the 2025 vintage!
See you soon!
