Our ‘Coup de Coeur’ in Champ sur Layon: Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru 2011

Wisely matured in 400L oak barrels, with a nice creamy texture on the palate, this wine stands out for its balance between acidity and roundness. A beautiful energy and a varied aromatic scope between warm pineapple, apricot, mango and a fresh finish. The whites in the range, especially Savennières and Coteaux du Layon, are beautifully made with a very good balance between acidity and maturity and a great ampleness and comfort.
This friendly family is definitely worth a visit , including a stop at the family restaurant.
